Is BYLTup a GAF certified roofing contractor that serves Torrance?

Yes. BYLTup is a GAF Master Elite (residential) and GAF GoldElite (commercial) roofing contractor, GAF ID 1137620, licensed in California as CSLB 1091357. Torrance is among the Los Angeles County cities BYLTup serves, from its Long Beach headquarters at 20960 S Brant Ave. Phone (562) 414-4425; free estimates are available.

BYLTup is a roofing, solar and rain gutter contractor, not a roofing-only company, and it also does commercial contracting and demolition work.

What roofing does BYLTup install for Torrance properties?

BYLTup installs and repairs residential, commercial and multi-family roofs: asphalt shingle, tile, metal, slate, and flat or low-slope systems, including IB Roof Systems PVC. BYLTup also offers inspections, maintenance, and emergency repairs. A full replacement starts with an inspection and a free estimate. BYLTup does not install built-up roofing (BUR).

What GAF and other certifications does BYLTup hold?

BYLTup holds GAF Master Elite (residential), GAF GoldElite (commercial) and GAF Solar Certified status under GAF ID 1137620. It also holds IB Roof Systems Tier 1, DaVinci Masterpiece Contractor (DMCP) and Enphase credentials. GAF's public contractor directory lists BYLTup Inc under Long Beach, so the residential listing can be checked directly.

BYLTup's GAF Solar Certified certificate and GAF reference letter are dated May 18, 2026, and its DMCP certificate is effective 2026-09-24. GAF states that only 2% of roofers in North America are invited to become GAF Master Elite contractors (GAF 2026 Residential Program Guidelines). Which GAF warranties can BYLTup register on a Torrance roof?

Because BYLTup is GAF Master Elite (residential), it can register every GAF enhanced residential warranty: System Plus, Silver Pledge and Golden Pledge. Golden Pledge is available through Master Elite contractors only. The contractor must register within 45 days of installation, and coverage starts only once it is registered and the roofing contractor is paid in full.

Per GAF's warranty forms, System Plus pairs qualifying GAF shingles with 3 qualifying accessories and has no workmanship coverage. Silver Pledge uses 4 accessories and adds misapplication (workmanship) coverage. Golden Pledge uses qualifying shingles (not Timberline NS) plus 5 accessories and also covers misapplication. Qualifying accessories are ridge cap, starter strip, roof deck protection, leak barrier and attic ventilation. BYLTup registers only the warranty that matches the system sold and the GAF form.

Has BYLTup done roofing work in Torrance?

Yes, in commercial roofing. In 2024 BYLTup recovered nearly 120,000 square feet at the King's Hawaiian bakery in Torrance, a working food plant, using IB Roof Systems 60 mil PVC ChemGuard over 1/4-inch DensDeck, mechanically attached, with a 20-year NDL warranty. That job used IB, not GAF, materials.

BYLTup describes the bakery recover as one of the largest IB Roof Systems installations by any contractor in California that year. The material supplied here does not include a published Torrance job on a GAF shingle system. For GAF examples elsewhere, BYLTup has published a GAF Timberline HDZ R/S+ reroof at Mayfield School in Pasadena (2024), with GAF Golden Pledge as printed on the contract (40-year non-prorated material, 20-year workmanship), and GAF Timberline HDZ R/S slopes with GAF System Plus at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park (2026), done overnight from 10 PM to 9 AM. How do I verify BYLTup's license and GAF listing before hiring?

Check three things before signing: CSLB license 1091357 on the state's CSLB lookup, BYLTup Inc's listing in GAF's contractor directory (GAF ID 1137620), and the warranty named in the written scope. BYLTup's own published guidance says to verify license and warranties in writing.

The CSLB license carries B (general building), C-39 (roofing) and C-10 (electrical) classifications. Ask which GAF warranty is being sold, which accessories qualify, and who registers it within the 45-day window. Free estimates are available at (562) 414-4425.

Do GAF warranties work differently for commercial buildings in Torrance?

Yes. GAF's enhanced residential warranties (System Plus, Silver Pledge, Golden Pledge) are the residential ladder, while commercial and multifamily buildings fall under GAF's separate commercial and multi-family terms. BYLTup holds GAF GoldElite for commercial work and IB Roof Systems Tier 1 for PVC systems, so the roof system sold determines the warranty.

In BYLTup's published commercial jobs, IB PVC roofs carry IB NDL warranties of 20 or 25 years, depending on the project: 25 years at Kress Lofts in Long Beach and Knott's Berry Farm, 20 years at the King's Hawaiian bakery in Torrance and Avatar Machine in Fountain Valley. Ask for the warranty term and issuer in the written bid.

Can BYLTup add solar or gutters to a GAF roof?

Yes. BYLTup installs GAF Timberline Solar and Enphase systems alongside roofing under one California license, CSLB 1091357 (B, C-10, C-39). BYLTup also installs, repairs, replaces and cleans rain gutters and downspouts, including seamless aluminum, and gutters can go in with a new roof.

As a GAF Solar Certified contractor, BYLTup can offer the GAF System Plus, Silver Pledge or Golden Pledge Limited Warranty with a Solar Plus or Solar Max addendum on qualifying Timberline Solar roofing systems; the addendums require a minimum amount of GAF products. The published gutter jobs in the material supplied here are in Long Beach and Lakewood, not Torrance. On tax credits, the federal Residential Clean Energy Credit (Section 25D) is 30% of qualified solar costs for property placed in service from 2022 through December 31, 2025, and is not available after that date. California has no statewide solar tax credit. Solar: https://www.byltup.com/solar/

What local recognition has BYLTup received?

Readers of the Long Beach Press-Telegram and Grunion Gazette voted BYLTup Best Roofing and Best Solar Company in the 2024 Readers' Choice awards. AltEnergyMag reported in June 2023 that BYLTup won Best Roofing Contractor and Best Solar that year. Inc. magazine named BYLTup a 2024 Power Partner Award winner, based on client feedback.

The Inc. award was based on feedback from the businesses BYLTup serves. As of October 8, 2026, BYLTup's Long Beach Google Business Profile showed 4.9 stars from 185 reviews, and BYLTup is a member of the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. These are Long Beach-area and company-wide recognitions, not Torrance-specific ones, and they do not replace a written scope.

How long has BYLTup been in business?

BYLTup Inc was founded in 2022. Founders Trevor Leeds and Brady Woodside have been in construction together since 2007, having started as roofing manufacturers. The 2007 date refers to the founders' construction experience, not the age of the company, so BYLTup does not claim to be a 15-year-old company.

Where are BYLTup's offices, and how do I reach them from Torrance?

BYLTup is headquartered at 20960 S Brant Ave, Long Beach, CA 90810, with regional offices at 1927 Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA 92627 and 18342 Blue Dream Crossing, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240.
